My SPCA project horse Little Bitty Horse a 3 yr old Morgan Mare is making great progress this summer. Bitty was not handled very much before meeting me & wasn’t very fond of doing things where others were the leaders. She is very curious & really smart. An LBE for sure with a ton of attitude!

We have spent about 18 hours together so far. This week I was able to trim her feet in the field with the lead line on the ground. I also introduced her to the blue tarp. She walked across it after following it around for a couple of minutes. Spent an hour or so in a shelter with enough room for us to stand single file during a violent thunderstorm. She stood very calm & quiet. I also introduced her to my saddle pad. Played circle game in the round pen at liberty. Able to disengage & draw her to me after two laps. She is giving me so many green lights so here we go!

I’m able to spend about 3 hours a week with her. Not a ton of time but enough to make a difference. Hoping she finds a great home once we get her under saddle.
